The Fruits of BIM Design

We really can make a difference. The tenders received for the new Classroom Block at Bohunt School came in at a construction cost of under £1200 per square metre, for a two storey building totalling 750sm. According to the QS this was largely due to the cost effective design we had produced. And this was all achieved in a period of 2½ months. The go-ahead was given at the end of June, and a start on site was made mid September. In the intervening time detailed design was completed, a Planning Application was submitted and approved, and tender documents produced and tenders returned. The project is due for completion at the end of March 2013.

We can produce a concept design for a medium size building in a day, including plans, elevations and sections.

News

The new Classroom Block at Bohunt School is progressing well, and is on programme. The major hurdle of installing the first floor slabs, which required a 200 Tonne crane to lift the slabs over the Squash Courts, has been successfully completed.

We have recently prepared schemes to assist Bohunt School with a further application to the DfE for funding for another new building.

The expansion and refurbishment of Crawley Winery for Nyetimber has been completed.
